Join Bab the Baboon, Birmingham Egyptology’s mascot for a light brunch on Friday 23rd September at The Orchard Learning Resource Centre, Selly Oak Campus.
This will be an opportunity to chat with current Birmingham Egyptology members to find out more about the group and to let us know what kinds of events you’d like us to be hosting moving forward.
In addition, there will also be the opportunity to visit a temporary Exhibition curated by Birmingham Egyptology members earlier this year focusing on ‘Sacred Words’. The Eton Myers collection is a collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities on loan as part of a 15-year project between the University of Birmingham, Eton College, and Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. This project was designed to catalogue, research and digitise the objects and make this collection of fascinating objects more accessible to students, staff, and the public.
This event is free of charge, but pre-booking is essential on our Eventbrite page: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/brunch-with-bab-tickets-411197130687
