Birmingham Egyptology is pleased to open the call for papers for the 13th Annual Birmingham Egyptology Symposium.
The Symposium will be held on Thursday 14 May 2026, with the theme being Work in Progress. If you have research you are working on currently or recently completed, this conference may be a great opportunity to present your work.
This Symposium is aimed at postgraduate researchers, early career researchers, and independent researchers, and means all are welcome to submit and/or attend.
Submitting an abstract
If interested, to submit an abstract, please include:
- Title (30 words max.)
- Abstract (300 words max.)
- Type of presentation (either 20-minute presentation or poster)
- How you would like to participate (in-person or via Zoom)
Deadline: 3 March 2026
You can submit your abstract and participation by completing our Abstract Submission for 13th Annual Birmingham Egyptology Symposium form.
Please note:
- The research must be your original research.
- If your work is part of a larger project, you must have the right to present the research.
- Your research must not have any legal or academic integrity concerns.
- Birmingham Egyptology reserves the right to refuse and later remove any presentations at our discretion.
