On Friday 18th October 2013 Birmingham Egyptology will hold a workshop and we invite all postgraduates studying Egyptology to attend. The event will take place between 1 pm and 4 pm in the IAA Museum, 3rd Floor, Arts Building. [details to be confirmed]
A variety of topics will be addressed, each to encourage and enable participants to take an active role in a variety of aspects of our discipline outside the normal range of the various degree programmes.
An overview of the projects undertaken by Birmingham Egyptology will be presented, followed by sessions giving some insight into the roles of peer-reviewing and copy-editing in relation to the publication of academic papers. There will also be discussion regarding aspects of conference management, with emphasis on aspects relating to the forthcoming Birmingham Egyptology Annual Symposium.
Participants will be invited to attend the following Forum session, and the post-Forum social in the bar.
