Luke is a Master’s Student on the Meng Nuclear Engineering programme, having been on the course since 2020. His study to date has included a Year in Industry in the Nuclear Steam Supply Systems team at Hinkley Point C, and a project investigating Heat Treatment of Duplex Stainless Steel for use in Pressurised Water Reactors. His master’s project with the group focuses on investigating the effectiveness of correlative mapping as a technique to enhance the throughput of materials characterization, with the aim of applying this approach to the research and development of novel alloys for nuclear applications.
