Jonas received his Bachelor and Master degrees in Material Science at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen, Germany. He started his PhD at the University of Bayreuth (Metals and Alloys), Germany in July 2021. His PhD focuses on optimising the brazing process for nickel-based superalloys. His work aims to enhance the structural integrity and longevity of brazed components employed in high temperature applications. As part of his academic journey, Jonas has been granted a unique opportunity to undertake a research visit at the University of Birmingham from July to September 2023.
