Aims

This research project examines how Multinationals from advanced markets can contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by creatively serving disadvantaged communities in emerging markets, and create competitive advantage at the same time.

Our focus is on the actions, mechanisms and strategies employed by these companies to orchestrate resources and coordinate multi-actor perspectives to address the needs of disadvantaged communities and include these communities in the social and economic ecosystem.

Outcomes

Results of this project will enable policymakers, multinational managers and community leaders to develop policy recommendations that address the needs of disadvantaged communities in emerging markets.

If you would like to find out more about the project or work within a multinational company on sustainability projects and would like to talk to us about this, please email mnedevelop@contacts.bham.ac.uk
