New PhD projects announced

The School of Computer Science at the University of Birmingham has recently move from all-year-round of applications to a gather field approach. We have now published a set of projects that will be participating in the call for competitive funding.

fNIRS-UK 2023

We will be supporting our long term collaborators Prof Javier Andreu-Pérez in the organization of fNIRS-UK 2023. fNIRS-UK 2023 is an SfNIRS endorsed event and will be held at the University of Essex on 14-15th of September 2023. fNIRS 2024 is coming to Birmingham!

We are extremely pleased to announce that our candidacy has been selected to organize fNIRS conference in 2024. We have a lot of work to do ahead of us. Keep an eye on this channel. In addition, lab leader Dr Orihuela-Espina has been elected as member of the executive board of the Society for fNIRS.

Off to Boston for fNIRS 2022

The Computational Neuroimaging Lab will be present in fNIRS 2022 in Boston with two abstracts in collaboration with the Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Óptica y Electrónica (INAOE) in México. Also, we will be defending our bidding to organise fNIRS 2024 in Birmingham.

fNIRS status report

The status report on optical imaging and spectroscopy for the study of the human brain is now out. We were honored to be invited to contribute to this comprehensive picture of the field of optical neuroimaging, which you can now find it listed in our publications.

Dr Orihuela-Espina recognised among best reviewers at MICCAI 2021

Dr Felipe Orihuela-Espina has been given an honorable mention in the 24th International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) MICCAI 2021 Outstanding Reviewer Award.
