The Friends of Insch Hospital and the Community supported a community hospital in Aberdeenshire which has been closed since early in the COVID-19 pandemic.

They continue to run their established fundraising events, including an annual Strawberry Fair in the hospital’s gardens – first started in 1989.

The event welcomes the community to a friendly and fun celebration, raising money through a huge array of activities for the whole family. This includes a raffle, afternoon tea, face painting, music and dance shows, and fairground rides.

In previous years, they have also hosted the Dunnydeer Hill Race to encourage further donations.

Since the closure of their community hospital, the Friends work both to campaign for NHS Grampian to reopen the hospital, and to support other health-related causes in the community.
