It is really easy to fall foul of copyright laws on the internet, especially when using images that you’ve found online.  We’ve put together a list of the best places to find copyright free images that you can use on your site for free.

Types of licence

There are many different licenses an individual may choose when they decide to share their work. It’s important that you abide by these (eg. provide attribution in a caption or small note at the end of your posts).

Getty images plugin

We’ve installed the Getty Images plugin for you to use in the body of your posts. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use them for featured images.

You should treat your blog as a publication and make every effort you can to ensure that you are not breaking copyright law.

Rarely, you may find that an image has been uploaded by someone who did not have the rights to share it, or a license may have changed. If you’re asked to remove an image (or now provide attribution etc) please do so as quickly as you can.
