We are both theorists and experimentalists, and we model materials at all length scales. We are a <a href=\"https:\/\/intranet.birmingham.ac.uk\/it\/teams\/infrastructure\/research\/bear\/usergroups\/index.aspx\">Special Interest Group<\/a> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.birmingham.ac.uk\/research\/arc\/bear\/index.aspx\">Birmingham Environment for Academic Research (BEAR)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>MSMDG meets fortnightly at 2pm on Thursday. We try to alternate between Metallurgy and Materials (Met&amp;Mat) and Chemistry (MSB). See <a href=\"https:\/\/more.bham.ac.uk\/msmdg\/calendar-of-events\/\">Upcoming Talks<\/a> for dates of the next meetings and planned speakers.<\/p>\n<p>We have a low-volume mailing list for advertising our meetings and other relevant activities amongst ourselves.
