Public Procurement PhD Conference in Turin

On 22 March 2019, EUTIP Marie Curie Fellow Alice Manzini and EUTIP Network Coordinator Professor Martin Trybus attended a conference for PhD students in public procurement organised by the University of Turin, one of the beneficiaries on the EUTIP ITN. 8 young researchers from Italy, France, the Netherlands, Denmark and the United Kingdom, including Alice, presented their PhD theses. Academics from Turin, Maastricht, Swansea, and Professor Trybus provided feedback and led the discussion of the entire conference. In September Alice and Martin had attended a similar event organised by the Public Procurement Research Group at the University of Nottingham, also a beneficiary of the EUTIP ITN. This event in Turin was a new initiative of the European Procurement Law Group in which the host Professor Roberto Caranta and Professor Trybus have been participating since 2008. The EUTIP Project Meetings (the next will be in Zurich in July 2019) have a similar format. However, events like this allow Alice to discuss her research with other researchers in her area of public procurement.
