US government refused to share Fort Hood evidence with senate

The Obama Administration has refused to share the evidence related to the last year’s Ft Hood shooting with the Senate. Defense Secretary, Robert Gates argues that sharing the evidence with the Senate could compromise the prosecution process. Two U.S. Senators have threatened the Administration to subpoena.

Partisan debate waged over whether to label Hasan a terrorist or a killer

Americans may be split down Democrat and Republican partisan lines over whether Hasan should be considered a killer or a terrorist. Liberals don’t want to the country to jump to conclusions about his motives and risk bad relations with Muslims; conservatives don’t want the country to risk national security by being too politically correct to identify terrorists if they are just that.
