Associates of Christmas Day terrorist arrested

Ten suspects thought to be connected to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab were arrested in Malaysia. The suspects, from Nigeria, Malaysia, Syria, Jordan, and Yemen. They were detained while attending a religious meeting, and are confirmed to belong to a terrorist organization.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee cites about 30 criminals who converted to Islam in prison have moved to Yemen. They claim to be studying Arabic, but officials say they are nowhere to be found and could be training with al-Qaida in the hinterlands. They believe al-Qaida has taken a special interest in blond-haired blue-eyed types.
