About Us
Julie Gilson
I have been teaching and researching in Polsis for a long time and have a passion for Asian politics and all things related to the environment and climate change.
I teach with Emma the final year module in Polsis on Environment and Climate Politics
I’m currently researching the anthropocentrism of free trade agreements; plastic waste and coastal communities of Southeast Asia; and the agency of more-than-human species, with a focus on forests.
Emma Foster
I am an Associate Professor in international politics and my research interests include gender and sexuality studies, (de)politicisation and anti-politics, international sustainable development policy and development studies more broadly.
I co-convene the Gender and Feminist Theory Group and co-teach Environment and Climate Politics with Julie.
