In the 50th anniversary year of Raymond Williams&#8217;s<em>&nbsp;The Country and the City<\/em>, Paddy will reflect on why paying serious attention to rural life should still be central to understanding culture.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paddy is the editor of <em>A History of English Georgic Writing<\/em>, a major book about a &#8216;vital green force in literary history&#8217;, available now and&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/gmail.us18.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=2fffe81594d651bc67cc87a36&amp;id=1a87566a97&amp;e=87af6aab0c\" target=\"_blank\">online here<\/a>&nbsp;(with library log-on).
